Fugitive Doesn’t Like His Mugshot, Texts Cop Another Pic, Still On The Loose

There’s been a lot of bizarre stories involving arrests as of recent years and hilarious mugshots to go along with them. For instance there’s Jamie Jeanette Craft, who drunkenly crashed her car into a mobile home and then attempted to flee the scene in a children’s battery-powered truck. Great mugshot there. We also have a Mr. Aaron Chase, who didn’t look too happy in his mugshot but wore the Joker smile from the Dark Knight Batman movie. Garret Michael Hoover, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was booked for disorderly conduct and snapped his mugshot with the words ‘Down 2 Boink’ scribbled across his face. We also have a rather classy mugshot taken by Jamie Calloway after she was arrested for stalking a corrections officer, whom she met in jail. Her mugshot consist of a ‘God’ forehead tattoo but is beautifully accented with a bow tie, argyle vest, and sports jacket. Most people are like George Clinton and hate their mugshots, like our subject here, Donald ‘Chip’ Pugh, who disliked his mugshot so much, he sent the authorities an alternate… better photo.
Wanted in Ohio, Donald Pugh, 45, known in the streets as ‘Chip’ didn’t take too kindly to police posting an old mugshot photo of him on social media, so he took matters into his own hands and sent them a selfie that was a little more flattering. Sporting an earth toned button up shirt, tweed jacket, pencil thin mustache, and dated 2006 Jennifer Lopez-esque navigator sunglasses, Chip felt that this was the more appropriate look for his social media presence. In more ways than one, he looks like the uncle you wouldn’t let babysit your kids, but to him he looks more like a cast member of Boogie Nights. While notified that Pugh didn’t like the picture posted, Lima Police Department attempted to post another mugshot of him smiling in which he was still unhappy with. Apparently Chip is wanted for a failure to appear violation and is also a person of interest in several other cases. Charges including arson and vandalism have Pugh as a potential suspect to Lima Police Department.

In a statement the department wrote, “We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he wold come speak to us at the LPD about his charges.” Lt. Andy Green also ‘chipped’ in saying, “He’s drawing more attention to himself, which is going to make it easier for us to locate him, because the more attention that this post garners, the more people are going to see it, the more tips are going to come in about this guy. So our hope at this point is that he will come to his senses and turn himself in and stop making this worse for himself.”

Don’t think Chip is going out quietly, he had this to say in a radio interview recently, “Man, they just did me wrong… They put a picture that made me look like I was a Thundercat or something.”
Personally, we don’t think the picture he sent authorities on Twitter was any better but to each his own. Pugh is a self proclaimed hometown hero and that he’s just ‘having fun.’ According to police sources they claim that Chip is out of state. To be honest we want to see how this one turns out and ever since last Wednesday, January 7th, this feud between Chip and the Lima Police Department has bubbling around social media causing more laughter than suspicion because this guy is still on the loose. He’s definitely one of the more recent hide-and-seek hall of fame candidates but he’s nowhere near the level of El Chapo or Osama bin Laden.
